In partnership with the Canadian Hockey League, Sherwin-Williams brought their 3rd annual Paint the Community initiative to Windsor as part of the 2017 Mastercard Memorial Cup.

OHL Commissioner David Branch, WHL Commissioner Ron Robison, and QMJHL Commissioner Gilles Courteau were at the Canadian Mental Health Association, Windsor-Essex County Branch (CMHA-WECB), joined by Windsor Spitfires alumni and Sherwin-Williams employees donating their time along with paint and painting supplies to revitalize the facility.

“Being part of the community is really important to us,” said Lee Diamond, Executive President and General Manager of Sherwin-Williams Canada. “We’re in a lot of the smaller towns throughout the country and we’re looking to grow. Engaging with the community everywhere we do business is very important to us. Getting this type of exposure is great, but we do things like this all over the country all the time.”

Sherwin-Williams facilitated the refresh of four meeting rooms along with a hallway and several exterior entryways of the branch.

CMHA-WECB is a leading provider and advocate of community mental health services. They offer a wide range of programs and services to those living in Windsor-Essex County, from the most seriously mentally ill to those dealing with moderate mental illness and addictions.  CMHA-WECB is a member of CMHA Ontario partnering with the league’s Talk Today program that provides mental health support to players and raises awareness about mental health and suicide throughout OHL communities.

The Canadian Hockey League and Sherwin-Williams Paints would like to thank all who made this event such a great success!
